HOW TO CREATE A TICKET TO GET HELP FROM UIS

  1. To get help from UIS using a ticket, open your web browser e.g. Google chrome, and go to the official UIS helpdesk portal (1) here, https://helpdme.ucu.ac.ug
  2. Use your University-issued email account (2) and alpha password(3), then click sign in (4

3. Click the "Plus" or "New Ticket " button to create a new Ticket.

4. "New Ticket" window will appear. Follow these three simple steps:
  • In the first box (6), write a short, clear summary of the issue and your username(staff) or access number (students)
  • In the second box (7), briefly describe the issue, and/or a screenshot of the error message.
  • Once you have filled in the Title and Text, click the "Create" button (8) in the bottom-right corner.

5. You will receive an email confirmation with a ticket number. Make sure to check your tickets for updates from UIS.
